MotionMan Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I just got a 2003 LS430 and use a Treo 650. I am trying to find the best option for mounting my phone while driving. I want to be able to charge the 650 and use my *wired* headset. I do not like vent mounts. Any thoughts? MotionMan
1990LS400 Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 How about a Kuda "Charging Cradle for TREO 650" mounted on a Kuda leather phone base designed for the LS430 and available in six colors to match your interior? http://www.kudausa.com/charging_cradle_for...o_650-1009.html http://www.kudausa.com/kuda_mount_and_hold...-06-21-208.html I love the Kuda phonebase in my 00 LS400 but the one for the LS430 is, for my taste, mounted in a lower and less useful position. Add a handfree Bluetooth car kit connected to auto mute your radio during a call and I think you will be a happy camper.

I agree that the base for the 430 is not at a great angle. Also, I know it sounds crazy, but I prefer wired headsets over the bluetooth ones. I am currently leaning towards the ProClip solutions. I also was looking at some of the solutions from Seidio, but I do not think that they have what I am looking for. Any others that people would recommend? MotionMan
MotionMan Posted December 8, 2006 Author Posted December 8, 2006 I bought the offering from ProClip and am very happy with it. The location is good, the angle is good (with the adjustable set) and, with the car charger option, I only need to plug in the headset and drop the phone into the unit and I am ready to go. With all the bluetooth phones etc., I do not expect there to be a unit with a built-in headset plug, so I think I have found my solution. Thanks for the suggestions. MotionMan
