SW03ES
It'll fit, but the install is very involved and requires a lot of custom wiring. The nav should consist of the: -Head unit -Hard Drive -Antenna -Wiring harness It also has a vehicle maintenance deal and a trip computer. LOTS of wiring, I think it was estimated at 24 hours of labor. Its been done though.
mrsebastian
if you can find a good deal, i'd definitely pick it up. it'll certainly add more value to your gs. i'd go talk to your lex dealer and see how much they'd charge to install as they'll be able to do it right. keep us posted, as it's something i've been thinking about doing as well. slammedgs400
how much do those systems go for complete?
SW03ES
The Lexus dealer would either: 1: Refuse to touch it 2: Or charge you something with 4 digits.
bbsal
i agree the lexus dealer would probably not touch it.if they did it would cost a small fortune.
z2die4
Also, dont forget speed sensor computer, speed sensor itself. You might run into audio issues if your going from NAK to Premium or vice versa ie. amp, speaker ohm loads etc. Your better off just buying an aftermarket system. It would probably cost the same, 3k, but at least you could also play movies, have much faster mapping, and the newest software and other technology. If your capable of installing this yourself and feel comfortable removing panels and carpeting and are mechanically and electrically inclined, then go for it. sternern
Well, thats answers a lot of my questions...One last one...Is it worth buying the head unit for $250 anyways?
JPI
You have to run all the wires through the carpet. Buy the ECU for the Nav ended up cost more than you planned. So the is "NO". JPI
