Bruce McCartney
I have a 1991 LS400, which has a problem with an engine knocking at around 1800 rpm. I've spoken with several Lexus dealers throughout Australia and they say it's a problem that they're aware of, however, nothing can be done except for their suggestion that I use high octane 98% fuel, which I do...but it still knocks at around 1800 rpm. It's been suggested to me that I should try a Cooler Spark Plug...has anyone in the club experienced this knocking problem, and if so, what did they do to solve it...did the Cooler Spark Plugs have any effect? RFeldes
Have you tried adding an octane booster to a tank of gas? And or a different petrol station?
