jlucla Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 The leather on my 02 SC430 rear head rests are deterioating badly. The leather is simply separating and ruins the exterior appearance of the car. Is this a common design problem others are having? Does anyone have a solution other than buying new headrests?
jlucla Posted August 12, 2006 Author Posted August 12, 2006 Did you ask the dealer? Yes I asked the dealer and was told because it was just out of warranty they could not do anything but repace it at $500 each. Looking to see if anyone could be more helpful than the Lexus Dealer
SKperformance Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 I would then contact Lexus Head office as to the poor quality of the durability of the product. Did the dealer cite a reason why it is damaged?
Z-Roc Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 you can bring it to repair shop for cheaper cost

Yeah, my 2002 head rest wore off as well, it was still under warranty and I had it replaced at a Lexus dealer. This was back in 2004.
