ayan Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 I just lost my only remote-enabled master key to my 1990 LS400. Dealerships want $245 for a replacement, in addition to $140 for labor to reprogram / install the new chip. $400.00 !!!!......for a $10 key with Radio Shack technology??!!! It's a shameful money-grab. OK, so do I have any less expensive viable alternatives if I want to maintain the ability for remote entry? I'd appreciate some constructive feedback. Thanks.
Grandpa Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Crimestopper is a pretty good system. I have that on my lexus and installation can range from easy to difficult depending on your knowledge about the car's electrical system. Programming it however is pretty easy.
SKperformance Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Just get an aftermarket alarm and you will also be able to start your car and open your trunk as well . The best part would be you will no longer have to be 5 feet from the door to open it.

There are so many on Crimestopper site. Which one is easy and compatible to LS400? Thanks,
