kameoblk Posted August 7, 2003 Posted August 7, 2003 I have a 92 ES 300 and the car is giving me a problem with the cooling fan it never stop running , it runs, when it is below 0' degrees outside. I had the power steering pump replace and all the hydralic hoses replace. it seems like it is getting to much pressure from somewhere in the system, I need some insight on this matter. the car is not overheating at all all i feel vibration in the steerinng wheel at low idle. I took it to lexus and they had this stupid ideal that it was the transmision. I dont thank so. I need some help on this matter asap.
bbsal Posted August 7, 2003 Posted August 7, 2003 it allways does run.it is ran from the power steering and never stops running no matter what degrees it is.What im wondering is why would lexus tell you its the transmission? They should know that the cars fan doesnt stop on these cars!how fast is it running because at idle it should only run slow and then picks up a little when you hit the gas.
SKperformance Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 it will always spin btu only get high pressure when needed to spin faster but you will hear the fan cutting the air when it is like when the a/c is turned on even at startup the fan will start spinning but it can be stopped by your hand please don't try it to check
