peeam Posted May 5, 2006 Share Posted May 5, 2006 My 2002 GS300 now has 48500 miles and I have a dillema about getting extended warranty. I believe it will cost around $1500 through Lexus dealer. While it will buy some peace of mind, I may like to replace the car in the next 12-18 months. What happens to the unused extended warranty cost- do they refund it based on pro-rata ? I do not think that they will refund you any money...but if you sell outright you may be able to transfer the warranty to the new owner. I do not think that I would bother spending 1,500 on the extended warranty if I was thinking about getting rid of the car in next year...
