Pics Of My Gs430 - What Do You Guys Think?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I just wanted to share a couple pics with you all.

Well, it's a Black/Black '06 GS430, fully loaded EXCEPT Pre-Collision.

As of now, I got a handful of mods on there already:

- 20" iForged Daytona wheels, staggered (8.5 and 10).

- Toyo Proxes T1R tires (245/35 and 275/30)

- Tanabe NF210 lowering springs

- 2 12" Alpine Type-R Sub Woofers w/600Watt DB amp (I kept the Mark Levinson speakers... I think they're amazing)

- 5%(Limo) tint on rear windshield and back seat windows, 15% tint for front two windows

I'm pretty much looking for two more things, and I'll be set... I hope, hahaha (modding is way too addictive, lol). I'm planning on getting a body kit pretty soon, but I haven't really figured out which one I want yet. And I want quad chrome exhausts. I think four would look and sound a lot better than the two factory exhausts.

Take it easy,

Niloy

I like it- got two questions for you though.

Is that a machine polished aluminum lip on the rims or chrome? and...

Did you have to do any modifications to the car to get the staggered 10 on the back? I thought the highest I could get back there was 255 tire size, but you've got 275's on there- good stuff. Also- you think that same setup will work on a RWD '06 GS300?

Congrats on a tight looking ride.

I appreciate that man.

To answer your questions:

1st question: The lip is chrome.

2nd question: I DID NOT have to have any modificiation done bud. The 10" wheel and the 275 tire has NO problem whatsoever fitting on the 3rd Gen GS, as long as the vehicle is RWD. The tires would not fit in the front, so obviously, it wouldn't work on the AWD GS300. Since your GS300 is RWD, the 10"wheel/275 tire should fit your rear without any trouble.

I hope that helps. If you want to know exactly how far you can go and what else can you do, with exact measurement, you should contact Derrick at D2 Autosport. They're website is http://www.d2autosport.com/ They helped me with everything... from picking the perfect wheels to figuring out the measurements and what could properly fit the new GS bodies. Good luck with everything.

Niloy,

Your ride is flippin' sweet. :D We are definitely on the same page. I hope you don't mind, but after seeing your ride, I think I'm going to get a set of Iforged wheels as well. I have just a few questions.

How much did you lower the car?

How long did it take to get rims?

Do you get any rubbing of the tires at all?

Many props

Thanks a lot bro. And I definately don't mind... we all represent Lexos, right? lol. iForged wheels are awesome buddy. They cast the wheels to fit the GS perfectly. They have two and three piece wheels. I love the contrast on the lip on the iForged staggered setup. The lip is really thick... amazing in person, really.

To answer your questions,

I installed the Tanabe NF210 lowering springs. I believe the front is lowered a mere 1.3 inches and the back is lowered even less, only 0.9 inches. But let me tell ya man, with 20" wheels, that drop is P-E-R-F-E-C-T. I can't begin to tell you the amount of compliments and questions I get because of the lowering and wheels themselves.

I ordered the wheels from www.d2autosport.com It took about four weeks from the actually ordering process to me putting them on my car. They told me it was gonna be 5-7 weeks to get them... it was a great early surprise. They actually custom make the wheels to fit your car. They were great... very professional, courteous, and best of all, they were prompt with everything. I highly recommend them, they really know what they're doing when it comes to modification... and they've done a lot of work Lexus vehicles.

Every once in a blue moon, it'll slighty rub on the top of the front two tires if I'm driving 70+ mph going over a big dip on the highway. I've had the wheels since mid-December, and I can probably count the number of times that has happened with my fingers.

If you do you decide to get wheels, whether they be iForged or not, take it from me man, contact Derrick @ www.d2autosport.com, he'll show you the ropes for everything concerning any Lexus.

Well, I appologize for writing a damn thesis on the subject, lol. I hope that helped somewhat. Let me know if you have any other questions buddy. Good luck with everything.

Niloy,

Thanks for the help. I am glad to hear you a good experience. I was reading on a couple of forums that iForged was taking forever. Your right, Derrick really knows his SH**. A couple more questions. I am in LA, so I can't go to D2, I assume you had them ship you the wheels with the tires on them. Right? Did you buy your springs from them as well? Thanks again bro. I really appreciate it.

Jason,

no problem man. I truly had a great experience. But like you said, I had to deal with them over the internet. They shipped only the wheels. I bought the tires here separetely, and I ordered the springs from www.l-tunedparts.com

Derrick will tell you all you need to know about the springs, and how far you can go with them.

If you need any other questions whatsoever, email me at niloy63@gmail.com

I know what it's like trying to modify your ride. If it wasn't for the people at ClubLexus.com, I wouldn't have been able to get what I did, done to the car. Don't hesitate bud... take it easy.
