A Key Question

i remember a few monthe ago there was a master key question and the answer was that you had to get a new ecu but lexus would pay for it for the first time. but i just got info from Sewell about a key sale and they have a two master key and chip set and instructions that a lexus dealer or locksmith could program it for you. then i saw on retrodrive.net about a key reprogramming procedure. My question is where does the chip go?

you have to open the key up and place the cxhip inside
