so a bird decided to use my car as a bathroom today and left some stuff on my trunk lid i cleaned it off but theres sort of a stain left now how do i get this off because its really visibile and catchs an eye easily

Is it pitted?

Is it a discolouration?

You need to wash and wax the area to keep it from further damaging the paint.

i had bird *BLEEP* that sat for a while without me noticing and it ate the clear coat, the base is just fine as far as pigment goes, really wierd

its discolored as it stands right now i tried waxxing that didnt work....

The compound that damaged your coat was the uric acid in bird crap. Unless you apply another factory clear coat or touch up, the damage is permanent, but it will do no more damage once it is removed. Unless it was there for a long time it usually doesnt do any damage.

i have a black lexus i thought those didnt have clearcoats?

If there is no clear coat then go for a "color restorer". Try the "Detail" forums for more "Detailed" info. ;)
