914lps
I just got a manual for LS Repait. It was suposed to be for a 91. I opened it and browsed around the contents. It is for a 90. Guy I got it from states every thing the same on 90 as 91. I looked at this and I do not think so. In the diagram for the engine, the top looks diferant etc... So, you folks tell me... Are 90 and 91 repair manuals the same?

Shadow
Not the same! 91LS has some features not found in 90LS, but you'll get by most of the time.
wwest
When I first purchased my 1992 LS400 in late 91 only the 90 set was available which I bought. Lexus was kind enough to sent me the 92 set when it got into print. I don't think there are very many differences between 90 and 91 and the 1990 set has a lot more detail than any of the later repair manuals. So hang on to them regardless, I still have mine. I only owned a 1990 LS400 briefly, Bill Gates traded it for a 94, but I don't remember any significant differences.
ko90ls
look at the front brake section. my repair manual is for a 90 but tells about how the 91 has dual piston calipers! they noted that so i'd assume everything else is the same?
AussiLS400
I have a 04/90 Aussi LS400 and it has duel piston calipers so just don't presume that all 90 cars had the single calipers. I believe that in the early days Lexus had a policy that when a car came in for regular service the calipers were changed without charge to the owners like a unadvertised recall and to upgrade the brakes to a higher level.
