Remove Telephone Number Formatting In Outlook

Recommended Posts

Those that have a PDA phone using Outlook for their contacts will have trouble beaming those contacts to the Lexus Phonebook because Outlook formats telephone numbers with parenthesis () spaces and -. If you try to transfer a number it appears as a name with a bunch of vertical bars in place of the phone number. There is an easy way to add contacts with unformatted telephone numbers. Here's how:

Go to your control panel on your desktop computer and click on Phone & Modem. Add Singapore as another location and use that as the default when adding contact phone numbers in your contact list. You're able to add 10 digit numbers without any formatting whatsoever. Make sure there is only one phone number entry per contact. I suggest making another catagory for those contacts so you can separate only those contacts you want to transfer to your LEXUS Phonebook(s).

Once added, sync to your PhonePDA. At the Lexus select the catagory containing those contacts and highlight them all. Beam them to the phone book. That's it. Works fine.
