Mark B
Hi all, Does the factory remote key for the 1990 LS400 immobilize the car ?? (EG. Cut fuel pump, or ignition or ecu) Or does it just lock and unlock the doors ??? Thanks....
larryp
Don't know but it would be easy to find out. Leave window down and lock car with remote. Reach in and open door (be prepared for alarm) and then try to start car.

SKperformance
no imobilizer key just a factory alarm which should have a starter cut off if it is triggered when armed.
Jacob
no imobilizer key just a factory alarm which should have a starter cut off if it is triggered when armed. What’s the difference between the immobilizer and starter cut off?
SKperformance
An immoblizer key needs the transponder in the head to activate the ecu otherwise it just turns over. As even if you break the igntion the car will not start even if you have a key copied. A starter cut off can be bypassed easier as you can open the door to disarm the alarm then break the igntion to drive it away. Or a copied key can be used to drive it away easier
