Antonbronner
I have 1998 Lexus rx300 with a Namkamichi Premium stereo.I would like to install either an audio input (aux) to feed an audio signal directly into the sound system, or replace the cd changer with unit that reads MP3 files. Does anybody know how I could go about this?
bradgoali
If You want to keep the factory unit you should try getting a mp3/cd changer that has a fm modulator that will use a channel on the fm side and plug to the factory deck through the antenna jack. I believe this is the best way to connect the sound quality is still good and everything else will still work. I looked a round and found several units jvc, kenwood and sony all have cd/mp3 changers that use a fm modulator. i had a clarion cd changer with fm modulator in my old car the sound was still of good quality i had no problems using that setup. muralin
I have a 2000 RX300. is there any outfit that will add an aux jack so that i can connect my iPOD. i have tried the FM solution and I dont like it. cant believe that a $40K car cant even provide a simple audio jack. i am sure Lexus will fix this problem in 2010 model B)
