katzjamr Posted February 22, 2006 Share Posted February 22, 2006 my rattle which was quite loud that developed after 5K miles was in the rear inside quarter panel on the left side. the dealer fixed it in about half an hours time by adding additional material behind that area. it looks like the rattles have different causes and locations, so im not sure a tsb would work in all cases. tharnett Posted February 24, 2006 Share Posted February 24, 2006 the rattle in the rear hatch is caused by the two side tabs which are located on the inside of the car - not on the hatch itself being in the "up" position where they will click,or contact the hatch when it is closed. you need to push the tabs back and down in the "locked" position so they will not contact the hatch when it is closed. contact me directly if you have questions. tharnett@earthlink.net Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
