brn2rnjk1
I know the discussion of verizon and trying to get the phonebook in to the lexus. But once you have it in, isn't it frustrating that you cannot dial a phone book entry while moving? Am I missing something? What good is it if I have to stop the car even to dial a phonebook number? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Jim
litzdog911
On our 2006 Lexus RX400h you can dial the "one touch" numbers even while the car is in motion. Otherwise we just use the phone keypad to dial when the car is moving. It hasn't really been a problem.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Jim They don't want you to accidentally make an error in judgement while you tap on the display. It's one thing if you have an accident making a phone call and its another if you did it while using the system in the vehicle. They simply don't want to be involved in a lawsuit should something occur while using the display. They apparently agree with the NHTSA and AAA regarding distractions and cell phones.
