I guess this is more of a poll than a question, but I'd like to know what people out there have done in regards to changing springs (ie. Eibach), how much you've dropped it, and what you've noticed as far as ride and ground clearance (I have a steep driveway :( ). Every time I look at my car's profile, I feel like it could use about one-half to a full inch drop, but I'm hesitant about how it will affect my cornering, ride, etc. etc.

Thanks for your input!

lowering the car with springs will increase your cornering ability. if matched with a stb, it'll corner extremely well, since the car has a lower center of gravity, and the stb will hold the towers in place.

i personally don't have springs installed at all. since i'm still only 16, it's hard to find a job in the dallas metroplex, and it's my mom's car (her real one is a '00 RX) but she lets me drive this one, so spending a few hundred on springs won't look too good in my mom's eyes. oh well. i'm hoping to trade the ES in for a remodeled IS, or if the IS coupes start comin' out, an IS coupe. :)

Jeez, no one else has any input on this? This board seems pretty dead, or at least a lot of lurkers...

Now thinking more about it, I may be interested in a full suspension system instead of just the springs. I guess I could call my dealer, but does anyone know off-hand details about the stock IS300 suspension? basically I think all I want to know is if it is adjustable so that if I do decide to get only springs, I can adjust so that I don't have offset camber and a poor ride. thanks anyone. And if anyone can recommend a full suspension system, I'm all ears.

I have Tanabe GF210 springs and a set of TRD yellow sways. The springs lowered the car between 1 1/2" and 2".

I had a set of LTuned springs before, but they didn't drop the car as much as I wanted them to. They were definitely stiff and felt great on turns though.

The Tanabe's are much lighter and softer than the LTuneds, but the drop is perfect! The sways make driving so much more fun. I highly recommend them. Since my shocks are still fairly new (3K miles), I won't upgrade those until I need to, or until I get some more $$. ;)

Sorry, I don't know much about full suspension systems.
