GuyTelefunken
That's what you need. That's the right price also.
ABQFirefighter
Try American Lexus in Scottsdale. They told me about $210ish a few months back. I have yet to swallow that horse pill yet.

GuyTelefunken
It's actually very easy for the slightly mechanically inclined. See this previous post.

abhankha
I had same problem in 1998 GS 300. The rear door on the passenger side was not working. The dealer replaced both doors lock mechanism on the passenger side. It cost me $1K. Their claim was that there is a short in the line. I guess, I got ripped off. Hi I'm in NoVA and having the same issue. Who did you take the part to to get it installed? My local Lexus dealer quoted me over $1200 to fix 2 doors which is ridiculous. Thanks. noozguy
I had a '98 GS300, I remember having that same problem. It was replaced under warranty...something about a service bulliten. I thik it may have even been a recall. You might want to check it out.
GuyTelefunken
There is no TSB or recall associated with the door lock or latches for the 1998 - 2005 GSXXX cars. Warranty would cover it if your car is still under warranty.
