lexus082 Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I just wanted to find out what set of bushings dampens most of the ride. Is it the lower control arm bushings or the upper control arm bushings that take on the ride quality aspect. Which one plays a larger role in the ride quality. Someone stated the upper control arms dampen 80% of the ride. Is this true?
SKperformance Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Neither they just hold the shock/strut (the dampener) in place. The ride will be similar with worn bushings just you will have alot of play in the alignment of the tires. This will cause the car to not respond well while driving on the highway especially.
