anewname
On the advice of a professional car restorer, I just ordered a tub of Connolly Hidefood. This stuff is supposed to be the absoule best thing for restoring leather to it's previous softness. Also, for before that, to get the dirt out, he said to use Lexol - I'm looking into that. In addition, according to this guy, everyone needs to throw away their armor all because it does more harm than good. :( -Dave
SKperformance
i agree with the armour all it is crap the hide food is supposed to be very good and expensive and the lexol has had great results also
anewname
Still looking for some lexol... The hide food only cost me $20 for a whole tub that is supposed to last me over 2 years according to the guy who told me about it. -Dave
SKperformance
lexol is not that hard to find what part of the city are you in?
SW03ES
If you have a Pepboys locally, they have Lexol. In all honesty, you don't need it. If you mix one part Woolite (yep, the laundry stuff) to 6 parts water it makes a cleaner better than Lexol, at 1/10th the price. Its all I use to clean the entire interior of the car, except for chrome, wood, plastic and glass.
SKperformance
unfortuantly pep boys is not in canada
SW03ES
Well then even more reason to try the Woolite ;) I used Lexol for years before a guy on Autopia told me about the Woolite, it does work great.

SKperformance
lmao ok sw03es i promise as soon as i need to clean my black leather i will i thought you said the woolite was for cleaning? my seats luckly don't show dirt the other stuff like lexol and my favorite are for conditioning
SW03ES
It is, it would replace the Lexol cleaner in the process. You should always clean before you condition though, even if you can't see the dirt.
anewname
Wait, I thought lexol was for cleaning... I have hide food for conditioning... Perhaps the woolite is what I need then. :)
