sjc6765 Posted August 11, 2005 Posted August 11, 2005 I have the TRAC idiot light coming on in my '93 sc300, on a previous string, I was told to clean the abs/traction control sensors in the wheel hubs. Has anybody done this, or know how to access them?
Paul_Cos Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Be Careful...they are easy to break when you remove them. I had my mechanic do it and we lost a sensor. Cost me about $200...still, it didn't fix the TRAC lite falure. WE ARE BAFFLED. So, I wouldn't recommend going that route.
SKperformance Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Trac light failures that are related to the sensors have to do with a bearing failure but the sensor is fine. It is almost impossible to press the old ones out so when you get new bearings on a new hub it will have to get a new sensor as well.
