Lost Piece Of Pcv Valve In The Engine

Hello I was just going to replace my pcv valve, i took it out and it was cracked and the bottom piece was still in there, as I was pulling i think it fell into whatever that part that houses it is. So how could I tell for sure if its there or not, the car drove fine so far no weird sounds, I hope it doesn't break tomorrow on the highway.

in the hole it's supposed to fit in ? the valve cover?

I installed a new one yesterday with no issue.

Leave it until the valvetrain needs to be serviced & the shims need checking, or the headgasket needs to be taken out.

Cool, thanks, I was kind of worried that it might cause everything inside to break and get stuck and so on.

yeah i did the same thing about 2 weeks ago.....nothing happened...yet
