Icemaninlv Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 I ordered a new gasket for the front head and they asked left or right. LEft or right from the pulleys? Well I ordered the right but it doesn't look right... On the front head to the left by the pulleys our those 2 big holes open or is one blocked any pictures would help or could some tell what side does the 4z code gasket go on? or the 51a side? mike
SKperformance Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 easy way to tell left and right is,the front is where the pullies are and the rear is the transmission is what year car?
steviej Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 the V6 is horizontally opposed. If you were to turn the motor 90 degrees so that the timing belt was in the front, then: the front valve cover is the same as the left the rear valve cover is the same as the right. remember Rear = Right steviej
Toysrme Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 What Sj told you. When you talk front / right in engine speak. That is with the engine OUTPUT facing you. That means the flywheel side of the crankshaft. When the output is facing you, the right hand side of the engine becomes the rear, while the left side of the engine becomes the front.
