92ls forhundo Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 Hello all,i was wondering when buying non-oem parts for our ls400's does anyone know or have preferences about after-market parts makers. To give an example im in the market for some suspention parts ie;ball joints, tie rod ends and front rotors and i have come across great deals, but am unsure about the quality. L have seen a lot of parts made by CARDONE and BECK/ARNLEY to name a couple does anyone have experience with these and are they worthy of our lexus? Thanks again in advance---neil.
monarch Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 The main thing is to lower your expectations - don't expect factory original levels of reliability / durability and functional refinement unless you use genuine Toyota replacement parts. Personally, I'd use Beck/Arnley parts because they at least tend to be made-in-Japan parts.
92ls forhundo Posted June 28, 2005 Author Posted June 28, 2005 very cool thats sorta what i was trying get at. thanks for the reply, its one of those things that would be impossable to know that beck/arnley was often japanese made. thanks for the reply much appreciated.
SKperformance Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 Truly lexus/toyota replacment parts are the way to go unless it is a weird bushing that may go and have an iimproved aftermarket one.
