Car Died While Driving

I was driving home from downtown, when my battery light came on, and I kept driving and it kept going on and off but eventually everything lit up on my dash and then everything started to fade and the car eventually just died. I am thinking it might be the alternator because the battery is new, anyone had this happen to them before?

Sounds like your alternator.

Is your power steering pump leaking onto it causing ti to short and fail?

How do I check whether it is leaking on to my alternator? It gets boosted, but then while it runs the battery keeps dying.

look at the alternator and power steering pump to see if the seal on it is leaking
