Dennis
My '93 GS300 is my first Lexus. Got it in great shape, with all regular service, including timing belt. I just had it aligned and put on new hi-speed rated Bridgestone tires. My curiousity is fixated on the speedometer, which goes to 160mph. I am really curious to see how fast it will really go. I understand all the basic road safety and speed limit concerns and am responsible for myself. What I do wonder, is: will letting at all out hurt the car? Is a good-running GS300 of this vintage likely to approach that number? Any experience out there?
perm269
It is probably not smart to do, but I have a 98 GS300 and I had it up to 140 on the way to Vegas...suprisingly, it was still pretty smooth. The most important thing is to not get caught or you won't have that car very long.
gslx4s
149 IS THE LIMIT ON THE 300 AND THE 430 WILL SEE 1 OR 2 MORE.
