Sc300 With A Blown Engine?

Recommended Posts

I would like to find a SC300, manual transmission with a blown engine. I would like to rebuild it but put in a SC400 engine. Hummmm! A SC400 with a manual transmission.

What do you all think???

Many problems:

1) SC400 engine does not fit into SC300 body, engine mounts are very different.

2) 5-spd transmission does not bolt up to the SC400 engine AT ALL, there is no way to do it without heavy modification and I don't think there have been ANY reported people doing this.

3) SC300 engines just don't blow....so good luck

Perhaps this way is not doable. However, the idea of a SC400 with a 5 speed manual transmission is a interesting idea. How about putting a Lexus/Toyota 5 speed manual into a SC400?

good luck bro, whatever it costs you to mod a tranny to fit the 400 engine, you could prob find a used 2jz block and do some work to it. The 5spd standard tranny is good for about 350 hp, maybe 400 if you dont have a lead foot..... eh scratch that... about 350 hp, and judging from what you want out of the car, that should be plenty...
