TRDlover Posted May 8, 2005 Share Posted May 8, 2005 i was working on glueing the window frames then i found out that the rear driver side window doesn't work anymore, it rolled down once then just stopped working. i can't hear the motor run inside, but it just doesn't move the glass, i tried to put the window up, but it felt loose, as soon as i pull it up, it slide down again. is it the regulator?? by the way, i bought the Gorilla Glue and used it to glue the window frame back, and guess what.......it works great!! i wonna take her on the freeway to see if the wind noise is still there or not, but since the rear windows is screwed, i have to get it fixed first, bad luck, i guess. Make sure the motor is connected to the drive cable assembly. A TSB from Lexus suggests that the regulator assembly is available seperately from the motor, but that may not be the case. The procedure for removing and attatching the regulator to the motor is somewhat specific. You should consult the shop manual for this if you have never done one. On the dark side, if you need to get the entire assembly....I hope there's a stool at your local Lexus Stealer's parts counter so you can sit down. List is $563.09! Check the scrap yards! The SC300 window's motor and regulator is similar. It may give you some hints on how to fix it, when you know what your problem is... My window stopped working also. It goes down but doesn't go up, and the motor still works. I have already taken it apart and rewound the wire pully spool thingy(is that the regulator?), and JB Welded the broken plastic wire guides onto the regulator, and it still it doesn't work. I have to take it apart again: I think its the connector of one of the ends of the wires that fasten onto the window glass. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
