staczsmith Posted May 6, 2005 Share Posted May 6, 2005 Has anybody performed a hack/ mod to your 2005 LX470 that will add an aftermarket (lexus accepted) backup sensor to the rear bumper? My concern is getting wires through the rear tailgate and backup lights and not gettting wires crimped in the process of lowering the tailgate. There are systems out there, especially from Ebay @ http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=7972869578&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT but don't know if this would really work. I also don't want it to look like a child set it up. If the dealer can't perform this task, and I'm thinking it's too risky for myself, who else would you recommend to perform this task? SKperformance Posted May 7, 2005 Share Posted May 7, 2005 I have the license palte ones and it is garbage as i also have the ones which are pressed into the bumper. I have black ones and most people can;t even tell them when i say i did something on the back. They all think it is stock. My car is dark green and the sensors are black and flush fit ones.
