Jay and Amy Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Hello: I am looking for some assitance regarding my 2000 RX300 with 68K. Just recently we have experienced a few times where you stop or pull up to a light while in drive where the engine stalls out or drops to a very low idle before you save it by hitting the gas. I have read a few things on the topic but, was looking for some further opinions or solutions. I have read it could be a dirty Idle Air Control Valve or it could be the air flor sensor or it could be the throttle body position sensor. I would catergorize the issue as infrequent and I have not seen any check engine or trouble lights. Does this sound right? How do I fix it? Should I take it to the dealer or is something a reputable independant shop can fix for a lot cheaper. Other than that the vehicle runs fine and has not given us any issues in the 2 years we have owned it. Thank you in advance for the help.
