Italysfinest327 Posted June 27, 2003 Posted June 27, 2003 Ok im new to the forums just signed up today, but i have a few questions. i have a 1993 es300 with premium sound in it, i currently have 2 12" Rockfords with a 300 watt rockford amp. i was thinking about buying a bigger amp for my subs and taking my current 300 watt amp and wiring it throughout the car, but im just curious about how many watts come stock with the 1993 premium sound system, and if its worth taking the 300 watt amp and connecting it to the stock pioneers that i have, if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it, thanx in advance
bbsal Posted June 27, 2003 Posted June 27, 2003 you dont want to put a 300 watt amp to the stock speakers because they will blow apart.they arent made to handle that kind of watt.they are very low watts and only made for the factory amp.if you want to put the 300 watt amp in then you have to replace the stock speakers.front door is 6 1/2 inch and the rear deck is 6 by 9 inch.you can also read the faq at the top of the forum.
SKperformance Posted June 29, 2003 Posted June 29, 2003 exactly just leave the stock speakers with the stock amp unless you change the speakers the amp will do nothing for you
bbsal Posted June 29, 2003 Posted June 29, 2003 lol all you will hear is a couple cracks and thats the end of the stock speakers.
