JIMMY B Posted March 31, 2005 Share Posted March 31, 2005 I had a salvage 51,000 miles transmission put in my 97 LS400. The new transmission works great unless you accelerate hard from a stop. It stalls down then takes off, about 1 1/2 sec. delay. My car does not have Traction Control but I'm wondering if the transmission came from a car that was equipped with Traction Control. The new transmission had an extra speed Sensor that the original didn't. Does the transmission need to be programed? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In my 91LS I had a similar issue and I simply cleaned out the throttle body and that was all, it was also stalling after i get off a freeway too. Have you considered these?
