Help.

I just purchased a CPO '02 LX470. I do have a few questions.

1. I understand that there is a simple wire-mod for DVD-in-motion. Would that fix the Nav-destination-input-in-motion as well? If not, are there anyway to make that work?

2. what is the latest Nav DVD available? I see few different versions available on e-bay and I'm not sure if there'll be any compatibility issues with '02 LX470. Is it safe to buy a 4.1?

3. to upgrade the NAV data, is it simple as switching out the Nav DVD and letting it do the update?

i'm sure that i'll have tons more questions as I go along. :)

thank you very much in advance for your help.

D.J.

Just a word of unrequested advice...

I bought my LX 450 as a CPO as well, so I'm familiar with their policies. You might want to hold off on any changes to your DVD/Nav system that involves rewiring as it may void a portion of your CPO warranty.

It would be a shame if the system went out -- through nothing that you did -- and Lexus refused to fix it due to the fact that you made a wiring change.

Just my 2 cents...
