Does anybody know a way to disable the safety feature on the RX-330 that prevents you from watching a DVD on the front display screen without the emergency brake being engaged? LOL. Obviously I know the reasons for this however I was just on a long 2 day trip with the car and a passanger in the front seat and realized how nice it would be if the passenger up front could watch a movie along with the rear passengers. I also noticed how some of the navigation features cannot be used when the car is in motion - which in my opinion could also cause an accident as a person like me tries to program in addresses and change features each time I stop at a light or have to come to a stop on the road for a split second. es3doubleO Posted June 21, 2003 Share Posted June 21, 2003 Hi jcamp, I don't think that you can by-pass the emergency brake /dvd switch because the wiring for the swtich is tied up with the spedo. so customers would not go to their lexus dealers and ask if they could get it by-pass (like the lx470).
