I laughed when reading this... when I purchased my RX-330 back 2 months ago, I actually wanted black and all they had left was a bamboo pearl one with ivory interior. It had all the options I wanted and at least had the ivory interior so I took it. Now I love this exterior color. It gets a lot of compliments. I'm over in Orlando, FL though.

Hi guys, me again. Does anybody know a way to disable the safety feature on the RX-330 that prevents you from watching a DVD on the front display screen without the emergency brake being engaged? LOL. Obviously I know the reasons for this however I was just on a long 2 day trip with the car and a passanger in the front seat and realized how nice it would be if the passenger up front could watch a movie along with the rear passengers. I also noticed how some of the navigation features cannot be used when the car is in motion - which in my opinion could also cause an accident as a person like me tries to program in addresses and change features each time I stop at a light or have to come to a stop on the road for a split second. Must be a way to disable that. :-)

Hi guys. I'm just curious if anybody has heard of Lexus coming out with a cellular service option for the RX-330, or any of their cars with a navigation system for that matter. I heard at the dealership when I first purchased my RX-330 that Lexus was planning to eventually come out with a new cellular feature that would work through the touch screen of the navigation system and would be totally hands free. Any news on this?

Hi guys. I've had an RX-330 for a couple months now and LOVE the car! I've only had one issue with it so far and it is something I can't seem to get a straight answer on, so I'm wondering if anybody else has noticed this. After having the car for a few weeks I noticed that every time the A/C compressor kicks on (which it usually kicks on and off every 30 sec or so) there is a strange and annoying humming sound that you hear anywhere from 5-15 seconds. Sometimes it's pretty loud and can especially be heard if you are on a quiet road. I took it back to my Lexus dealership to have this looked at and they told me that they've had other owners complain about the same thing. They were originally going to replace the A/C compressor but then called me back and said that they are pretty sure all the compressors for the RX-330 make the same noise. They told me eventually they are planning to come out with a new compressor but had no timeframe on this. They said there is nothing they can do in the meantime. I don't know if they are telling me the truth or just trying to get me off their back. I've been in other RX-330's and do not notice this sound so obviously to me all the compressors are not this loud. It's pretty loud and pretty unacceptable to me. It would be unacceptable on any car but especially on a Lexus. I'm just wondering if anybody else has noticed this or taken their car in for this issue. Thanks!
