1993 Sc400

I have a Pearl White 93 SC400. Where do you find the paint code number and who supplies the best color match paint for these cars. (PPG?) What is the paint process that Lexus uses? (Basecoat, Clearcoat?)

The paint code can be found on the driver's side door just below the door latch on a sticker. The pearl white is a three stage paint process. Base coat, pearl flake coat and clear coat. PPG makes good paint, but matching the paint is best done by a quality body shop that mixes their own paint or a auto paint supplier. Bring them your gas cap for a color match if you are going to buy your own paint. I wouldn't recommend trying to paint this yourself as the 3 stage paints are very difficult to match properly. Best to leave it to a professional. Hope this helps you out and good luck.
