boss of tokyo
Hi Im due to getting a 1995(1991-1997) JDM Windom 2.5 V6 24v soon & wondering if this Windom 2.5 engine was the same as the 1988 (1987-1991)Toyota Camry 2.5 V6 24v engine? If so it make it easier to source parts when needed in future. I know the 1989 Camry 2.5V6 24v is similer to the 1989 Lexus ES250 but when the Es250 got replaced in 1991 by the ES300 was there also a 2.5V6 available in the US or just the 3.0? I know in Japan the 1991 onwards ES300(called Windom there) had 2 engines choices - a 2.5V6(which im getting soon) & a 3.0v6 Thanks
vcv10guy
When the ES300 came out the only engine available was the 3.0 litre V6 3VZ-FE. In 1994 it became the 1MZ-FE. The ES250 for the U.S. has the 2VZ-FE. Is that the engine your Windom/ES has? If your future car has that engine in it then parts from the ES250/Camry V6 will be interchangable.
