1995_ES300
I have searched and searched for how to remove the rear deck panel to replace the speakers. I have found some info in the faq section but I cannot find the clips that "hold the seat down"? I have a truckload of stereo stuff and I want to put some in my car but cannot seem to get to the rear speakers.....any help on this would be most appreciated. 1995_ES300
anyone know the location of the bolts that hold the rear seat down?
Lextech23
The bottom of the rear seat just pulls up at the front and slides out. The seat back has bolts in it at the bottom, after taking those out, push the seat straight up to un-latch it from near the top.
1995_ES300
ok, i will give it a shot, thanks :)....one last question, I took off the door panel up front to get an idea of how to replace the speakers. The problem is that the original speaker seems to be glued to the plastic frame, even with the screws out. I researched and the only other answer I found was that someone else had just made a new frame out of mdf. Is this the only way to replace the front speakers? I found a pic online with someone using the original plastic speaker frame with an Infinity KAppa speaker mounted to it. How do you seperate the original speaker from this frame?? khhoang
i reused the stock speaker frames. if i remember correctly the speakers are only lightly glued onto the frames so you should be able to pry them apart with a flat head. the stock speakers might get damaged so be prepared for that. also there are little notches on the frames after you remove the speakers. you may have to pop those off with the flat head and a hammer if your new speakers dont fit flush due to the notches. 1995_ES300
Ok thanks, i was not sure how well the glue holds onto the frame...I was literally about to hit the rear magnet with a damn iron hammer I had next to me, but i thought twice about that....
