newbie one
I have a 92 SC 400 with 130,000 miles. It was serviced at the dealer forever. All maintenance was done on schedule. The last service was done about 1000 miles ago. The car developed this thump when coming to a stop. I found that that the tran fluid was "way" over filled. I have since had an independent Lexus/Toyota garage change the fluid. We have not driven it much since then(100 miles or so) but the sound id still present. I noticed that it does not occur if the overdrive is turned off. Any ideas???
bean_8044
Torque convertor going bad maybe? Usually they wont since its a pretty stupid device, but its a possibility. Maybe the line pressure regulator got hosed when there was too much fluid in there
