Lexusfreak Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Hello,I have 97 ES 300. Between 97 Camry and ES 300 Brake pads, is any differance? I think they are same. I want to make sure. Please help me. Thanks, ← Not 100% sure myself......why not call both a couple Lexus & Toyota dealers & get the exact part numbers for each to varify.....failing that, why not try TRD (Toyota Racing Development) brake pads? They will give better performance from what I have heard. B)
SKperformance Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 read the faq then the workshop tutorial for the step by step of changing them
camlex Posted January 19, 2005 Author Posted January 19, 2005 Somebody mention to use Ceramic pads. Any experience. Thanks,
chadmg7 Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Would TRD brakes reduce the sqeaking noise that ceramics and metallics seem to produce? From what I know, ceramics have a shorter life and burn at a higher temperature. Not sure if I am right. If I am wrong, please correct me. Metallics create a lot of brake dust, as I had them for front brakes for a while. They also seemed to squeak. I have yet to find a brake replacement that does not squeal horribly when it is damp out and squeal mildly on a daily basis.
