Considering buying a 2002 es300. Anyone know the maintenance schedule. Dealer claims 30k service was done and I'd like to confirm what the schedule requires and compare to what was actually done.

They have changed the oil, inspected exaust pipe, mountings.

Air cleaner filter was changed, fuel lines were checked, brake lines, pads were checked. Brake fluid was replaced. Thats about it. Other components like belts , joints, shocks were inspected.

Hope that works for you.

Run a search for maintenance schedule, it has been posted several times before.

depending on the dealership, the 30k service may also included a tire rotation, a tranny fluid drain and fill, a ps fluid exchange and a coolant flush and refill.

nancem,

If you know the VIN # of the '02 ES in question (the number should be etched on the driver side of the front windshield from the outside), you can call up the service dept of your local Lexus dealership and ask them to give you a service history of the ES based on that VIN number. All Lexus dealerships in the US run a national database that keeps track of service histories of all Lexus vehicles which have been taken in for Lexus service.
