lexus400
I've been trying to get my belt on for about two hours... I have the cams and crank where they need to be but no matter what I do one (just one) of the marks on the belt is off one tooth ? Won't the tensioner make up the diff or does it need to be exact ? Also, can someone clarify the belt routing ? What the manual calls left and right seem to be the opposite of what I'm thinking. Is the rear/back (near the firewall) cam pulley the last thing I put the belt on or is it the front one ? Don't know if that makes a difference in my belt marks. I did check and I have it facing the right way. thanks, Bob
sunman
as long as the slack is near the tensioner, it should be fine. If the slack is between 2 pullies, then you're in trouble.
