LuvmyRX
I have had my '05 RX330 for about 2 weeks now... today when I went to start it in the garage, I noticed a loud humming coming from under the hood when the key is in the "on" position (the position just before start). It seems to be from the front near the base of the radiator. This may in fact be normal, but since I have only driven it twice, I never noticed it before. If you have an '05 RX and have a few minutes, could you open the hood and turn the key to ignition (with the engine NOT running) and see if you hear a humming noise from under the hood, and post your findings here? Thanks!

jbarhorst2
I have heard this noise on my 2001 RX300. I have not found the source yet. Try this -- try just putting your key in the ignition, but do not turn the key. Do you get the noise?? I do. The plot thickens...... Any ideas?? lsrxlex
I have heard this noise on my 2001 RX300.I have not found the source yet. Tom I just got the exact same problem: While engine off, just insert key in ignition, but no key-turning, then the humming starts. Pull the key out, then no more humming. The humming noise is somewhere in the front of engine compartment and way below the exhaust manifold. Any suggestions?
