I have a 93 sc400 and its sole purpose other than being a daily driver is to be a sound quality car. Has anyone put speakers in the stock carpet kickpanels?

I am going to sound deaden the entire car with elemental designs sound deadening mat. I have my dash apart and am wondering how to install the cd player (alpine cda-7995) btw i burned the cd changer, stock h/u, the amp, the speakers, and the sub in a burning barrel last night.

I am thinking about maybe mounting the cd player in the dash a bit then putting the nakamichi face which i took off in front of my good cd player. Maybe someone has done this or has a better idea. I could just mount it regular and then make a cover piece to go under it to fill the hole though, so let me know what you think is best.
