Transmission Kicks

last week i noticed that when i put it into drive it kicks slightly and sometimes it also kicks when i'm already moving and it is shifting from low gear to higher gear. does that mean that i will have to change my tranny soon?

also when i put it in to gear but not yet moving, there is a strange noice from the engine like smth is tickin really fast, what could that possibly be?

the little jolts are probably the engine mounts

i am not sure where they are for your engine though

to check them have someone step on the brake and chock the wheels then rev the engine while in drive and see if the engine moves alot

if it is just a few mm then don't worry

if it is over 1.5 cm then you may have a problem

and the ticking is probably just the valves

but i guess you cannot hear it when the car is at idle and the hood open?

as a matter of fact i can, but they are not as noisy as when its in drive, as to angine movement, there is a lot, even when its in idle and rev the engine i feel whe whole car shaking, i tried that on my brothers legend and it didnt move at all.....

when i was driving today i also noticed that when my transmission downshifts there is a lil kick also. Is my transmission dying on me? :(

well iguess first order of buisness is getting the mounts changed or checked again

look to see if tehy are split or falling apart with cracks in the rubber inserts

I think it would be more likely be a transmission mount which has gone soft.
