Car Won't Start?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We've had our first major snowstorm here. Last night before going to bed i used my remote starter to get the car working for a few minutes then shut it down, to make sure everything was fine.

This morning car won't start. I hear this constant ticking under the hood. If i get in the car and hit the brake, it stops. When i turn the key, Most of the power won't show, tried headlight they won't turn on.

When i try to start it, nothing happens, all I hear is this small electric motor going off. Now I don't remember last time i had this problem, is it the starter that's screwed? alternator or just a plain case of dead battery?

yeah got a bosst from a cab, now i'm gonna let it run for a while to try to recharge it. Now i have to fifure out why...

Probably low on fluid or just old, stock batteries usually don't last for more than 3 to 4 years unless you keep them maintained. Or if there is alot of corrosion it can drain the battery. <_<

Hmmm actually i think i figured the problem out. The remote starter starts the car which has the headlights on auto, but when it shuts off the headlights don't. I tried it again today, headlights never turned off unless I was shutting it down using the key.

Last night i tested it and turned it off using the remote and went to bed, the headlights probably drained the battery in my sleep.

Yep, that would do it as well. turn off the auto headlights.
