hammer008 Posted November 19, 2004 Author Share Posted November 19, 2004 Well, I managed to get it out...2x 10mm and 2x 12mm...four bolts in total. When I opened up the case I was shocked to find 2 small pebbles inside...how did that get in there? Also I found that the laser guide pins were DRY. I put some vasoline on it. I greased all the other parts that already had grease on...will see how it goes...HOLLY SHMOLLY, it plays better! The seek time seems faster...not a single error yet!!! But I still can't figure out where the "green" crud (copper oxide) on my cartridge came from??!! I could not see anything like that in the cd changer.
