Hi, I have a tricky one:
- The drivers' door lock won't turn with either of the keys I have.
- The door lock doesn't budge at all. The key goes in, but won't turn even a bit, even if I jiggle it.
- The door lock and ignition are all original, the keys work in the ignition and the glove box.
- I loaned my friend the car during COVID and he said the master key fob was getting finicky so he had it duplicated, I have the duplicate, the original valet key, the metal key tag that came with the car, and the original wallet metal cutout key.
- When I put the drivers' window up and down it sounds like the gasket at the top of the window might be loose. I don't think this is related, but figured I should mention it.

So, I think the key not working might have to do with the electronics, but I'm not sure how to reset it.

If I open the car with the key fob then both keys work in the ignition, but neither key can open the door manually.

I don't want to lose my master key and be out $$$$ trying to start over from scratch at the dealership.

Any advice/thoughts?

Thank you!

Have you tried applying graphite powder to the key, pushing it in, then tapping it lightly with a hammer?

I had to do that with the ignition key, many years ago, but never had the problem again.

Okay, now I'm confused.

Both keys work, but only sometimes.

I think maybe it has to do with if I double clicked the lock button on the fob instead of locking it manually? Not really sure what is going on.

Any advice?

Seems like electronics related. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't turn at all.

This happens with my valet key and my clicker fob. I thought it could be fob battery related, but it happens with the plain valet key that doesn't have a battery too...

So, I'm stumped. Any help would be appreciated.

The door lock for the key side is a manual operated lock with some electrical connections to it but the lock itself is not electrical sounds like the lock is frozen in place from lack of use or a linkage in the door is jammed
