  1. Yes the Toyota dealer has the daig tool as lexus they use tech stream I like the software it only works on Toyota or lexus my subscription for that cost me about 2,000 a year but worth it and is the only way to get the latest ECM updates
  2. There is two systems on the 400h that would need reset one is the hybrid learning which does require a tool and the other is the ICS most of the late 07 and 08 will do it automatically there was an ECM update for those
  3. No I used same diameter line the barb fitting is what will go into the other component the pictures will help out a great deal of. The understanding of it I have a master cylinder to change in a few days so I may go though the drain process as well
  4. I have sevral diag tools the cost is way more than a dealer diag my tools cost around 5,000 for each one as there is different tools for diag not sure how far you are from me if u was close I would be more than happy to diag the issue there is a few things we can check when you have the time
  5. Most cheaper tools will read the sensors but not what the ECM is reading so the tool will show everything fine but in the ecm it will not as far as the dome light that is a loose bulb
  6. No I did not go the kit route the best sand paper I could find is made in Germany the finer the better used 3000 plus wet sanding then 3M buffing compound then cleaned the surface sprayed with clear coat I will need to look up the clear coat I used I know it was not cheap
  7. And if the old sensors were not deleted from the ECM before the new sensors were added the ecm is most likely confused I guessing they were not programed correctly or there not the correct sensor not sure if you took a picture of the new ones before they were installed as I would be able to tell you if there correct
  8. I have a tool that can read twice as much information that tool is reading and as always launching a parts canon never ends well I would have diag the issue before the sensors were replaced honestly it will take a high end scan tool to correctly diag those sensors and the ecm that controls them and did you replace them with OEM the only ones I found that work correctly is Denso you can get those on Amazon for about 50 dollars for one
  9. There is 2 bulbs in the running lights one is in the high beam side and the other is on the side
  10. Yes the projectors I replaced with OEM bulbs and yes the running lights I used VLEDs I think they have a slight blue tint for the high beams I went with SYLVANIA 9005 SILVERSTAR ZXE GOLD HALOGEN HEADLIGHT BULB they have held up well I never needed to replace my headlight assembly I just removed them and sanded them and buffed them out and re did the clear coat on them
  11. Figured this may help on the headlight remove there is 2 10mm bolts on top there is 1 10mm bolt under the relay fuse box that just unclips to move out of the way then the last 10mm bolt is on the fender well you will see that once the bumper has been removed
  12. I stayed with OEM HID bulbs upgraded the Halogen bulbs to better Halogen bulbs as far as the maker bulbs go i went with VLEDs there not cheap but there still working the turn single bulbs i stayed with OEM
  13. That is the ABS actuator on the passenger side those make that noise if there is air in the break system or it has not been properly bleed or the fluid is way over due for replacement
  14. Have you tried the window switch on all the doors or just the master window switch’s on the drivers door
  15. Yes all the 400h from 06 to 08 have the 3.3 engine that carried over from the 330 which has the timing belt
  16. I prefer to stay with OEM the KYB provides a little harsher ride than the OEM
  17. In order to remove the headlights the front bumper needs removed if i remember correctly there is 4 bolts that hold the headlight assembly in
  18. I really like the car care nut very smart and yes dont run the fuel tank empty all the time and the filter is part of the pump assembly
  19. That does not sound like an ECU problem that reminds of the battery relay switch and if i was going to guess at it i am going to say it is full or water and corroded they sell a brand new one for about 380 dollars but you need to fix the water issue first
  20. On the 90,000 miles service the majority of things include the timing belt and water pump and all the guides and tensioners idler pulleys fluid change which includes oil coolant breaks transmission rear diff on the timing belt and water pump please make sure they know what there doing the water pump surface must be 100% clean and NO sealant applied the timing must be correct as the engine is an interference engine which means you must get it right the first time there is no second chance
  21. Yes you will need to remove the inner fender liner now there will not be no big access point but you will be able to use a long screw driver to remove the rubber garment as far as making the drain hole bigger there is absolutely no reason for that when the weather warms up a bit here i will go back and take it apart and take pictures of the process so everyone can have a better understanding of the design
