IreneAdler Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Hi fellow Lexus owners, I have a 2023 ES350. I live in a city and often have to parallel park. However, when I'm in reverse and get too close to the car behind me, the automatic braking system engages and prevents further movement. How can I disable it? I know it's meant to be helpful, but sometimes I need that extra 2 inches! I've looked in the manual but can't find a clear explanation of how to disable it. Thanks! Irene
batsyhds Posted July 4 Posted July 4 I just got a 2021 ram 1500 and this feature surprised me backing out of my driveway, it didn't like the snow bank that the plow trucks built up along the road lol. Was taking Grandma for a test drive and she freaked out and was afraid my new truck got damaged haha.

Irene Hi Irene, I don't know if you solved your problem yet. The Parking Support Brake can be enabled/disabled on the multi-information display that shows behind the steering wheel Scroll through the screens with the left/right arrows (left side of steering wheel). Select the Circular settings wheel. Press the down arrow to select the car/back up icon. Then disable the function. An orange light will show on your dashboard all the time to remind you it's disabled. 1
